This week Isabella Lake is at 53 percent of its storage capacity. The crappie bite is solid here with limit-style fishing going on. Our sources reported excellent action at Camp 9, the cages, and brush in the South Fork. Slabs have been going for live shiners, Keitech easy shiner 2” swimbaits, white/yellow minijigs, and various other colors. Bass have been coming on mid diving jerkbaits and crankbaits. Zoom trick worms on Shakey heads and natural shad Senkos finding a few bites. Trout imitation swimbaits have generated some quality bites. The trout action continues to be very steady here. There were Thousands of pounds of trout stocked in April and anglers continue to score with trout jigs, Powerbait, spinners and nightcrawlers. Boat anglers trolling with lead core line have been using Flicker Shad and various needlefish with good results. The catfish bite improved this week on SSS Dip Bait, cut mackerel, and sardines.
