At Ming the Bass have turned on and are in full spring bite mode. Our local contacts reported excellent action with buzz baits, frogs, and poppers in the morning and evening. The five-inch swimbaits continue to generate quality bites. Magic in green pumpkin, brown/purple and sprayed grass have been finding a few takers too. Drop shots have been generating numbers, but quality came on spinner baits during the early morning hours. Later in the day, crappie have been chasing minijigs and small or medium live shiners. The bluegill bite is excellent on wax worms and meal worms. The DFWL stocked trout here two weeks ago. Holdover trout have been found with garlic scented baits, trout jigs and spinners
