Pyramid Lake held steady at approximately 90% of its storage capacity, with water temperatures gradually rising into the low 60s. The bass bite has steadily improved, with both largemouth and smallmouth bass biting along points and bluff walls, particularly where rocky transitions dropped into deeper water. Anglers found success using drop shot rigs with 4" Roboworms, Texas rigs, and grubs. Bluff walls produced the best action, with many fish holding tight to structure. C3 Slim Pros rigged wacky and weightless yielded bigger bass when fished with a slow, deliberate presentation. On windy and overcast days, jerkbaits and topwater lures produced good numbers of bass. Striped bass were eating cut baits and lugworms near the inlet and marina areas. Anglers trolling with umbrella rigs and A-rigs over main lake points also did well. Those targeting deeper water up to 50 feet reported success with spoons and swimbaits. Catfish were a dependable option, with anglers consistently catching fish using dip bait, chicken liver, and cut sardines. Productive areas for catfish included Yellowbar and the marina.
