Last week fishing was productive at Hart Park with largemouth bass being the primary target. Anglers had success using weedless setups such as Texas rigs, creature baits, and tubes. Baby bass and oxblood color patterns performed well, while green pumpkin was effective for pulling fish out of thick weed beds. Topwater frogs also produced solid strikes when worked across the tops of floating vegetation. Bluegill bite live worms suspended under a bobber with a 1- to 3-foot leader. Catfish responded to SSS dip bait and chicken liver.
