Bass action has picked up this week with the cooler weather, with anglers finding success early and late in the day on Giro flukes, small creature baits, and Ned rigs worked with heavier heads around grass. Green pumpkin worms in 4–5 inch sizes and Strike King Rage Bugs have also been producing solid catches. Bluegill fishing remains excellent in the early and late hours with wax worms, mealworms, and red worms. Crappie are becoming more active later in the day, hitting 2-inch Keitechs and live shiners. Carp are showing more frequently and are being caught on dough baits, while catfish continue to bite on dip baits and cut bait.
