The lake held above 90% of its storage capacity, and fishing was fair to good. Bass anglers worked the shore and weed lines with small plastics in natural shad and weightless Senkos drawing bites, while topwater poppers and white Zara Puppies produced in the morning. Striped bass were caught by anglers who managed to find a boil, though trolling A-rigs and umbrella rigs proved more effective than boil chasing. Catfish anglers who located weed-free water hooked up using dip bait and chicken liver on the Carolina rig.
