The reservoir dropped to 40% of capacity, and fishing remained productive. Bass anglers found a good bite while working walking baits and poppers on the surface during the morning. Then moving deeper to 10–25 feet with drop-shots, spider jigs, and Neko rigs for steady action on spotted and largemouth bass. White bass were targeted by trolling spoons and small swimbaits, while small live minnows also produced. Crappie held around submerged wood in about 15 feet of water and took small live minnows. Catfish responded to mackerel and dip bait fished on Carolina rigs.
