Bait fishing near the town of Sprague River can be ok for yellow perch and brown bullhead. Bait fishing only allowed from Saddle Mtn Pit Road Bridge to Godowa Springs Road Bridge.

North Fork Sprague RIver and All Tributaries

Open year-round. Fishing should be excellent for Brook Trout up high near Lee Thomas Crossing. Fishing near Sandhill crossing is slow. Best Redband Trout fishing is upstream of the lowermost 3411 road bridge. Dry flies in the pocket water works well. Large brown trout occur in the river. Grasshoppers are beginning to be abundant.
