Access is open. The lake was stocked last week. The lake was stocked two weeks ago with small brown trout. The bigger brown trout will eat the rainbow trout and brown trout that are stocked. Many of the brown trout hang around the dock. The area at the mouth of Evening Creek is also a good area to try.

The best area for fly fishing for smaller brown trout is the southeast end where there is some aquatic macrophyte growth. Good hatches of Callibaetis mayflies occur here.

Fishing can be ok from shore all along the campground section for rainbow trout. Miller Creek has abundant small Brook Trout with an occasional Brown Trout or Brook Trout. Bait is allowed.

Call the USFS in Chiloquin for more information, 541-783-4001.
