Surface temps are hovering around 74–76°F—definitely warm—but the lake remains full and fishable, especially in deeper water. Trollers are finding success running flashers with nightcrawlers or Baby Simons in orange and copper down 18–25 feet in the main channel. Stripping flies on a medium sink line (10–15 ft depth) continues to produce along the west side, particularly near Eagle Point and Camp 5. Olive or rust buggers and balanced leeches are the go-tos. Bank fishing is best in the early morning at Mallard and Honker Coves—casting toward the channel with inflated crawlers or orange PowerBait on 3–4 ft leaders has been most effective. Target low-light hours and look for shaded pockets of water.
