I've been out on the river pretty much every day since the last report. Most of the time fishing clients and a few days just fishing with some friends.

The fishing is improving every day. I've got into a few salmon here and there. The big news on the lower river is the steelhead fishing. Everyone fishing down here has been talking up the steelhead. We have been enjoying some world class fishing here. Every day I've netted at least one steelhead over 10 pounds. People that spend any amount of time on the Klamath know that these are very large fish for the Klamath. About half of them have been hatchery fish. So my fishermen have been able to bonk a few and take some fish home.

The latest word is that there are some big fish down at the mouth and they should be making a move any day. If the steelhead are any indication of the fishing to come , get ready for some heavy fish on your lines.

I've got a couple days off and then it's full bore starting this weekend.
