Fishing forecast (September–November): DWR community fishery trout stocking efforts typically resume late September, when water temperature is cooler and water quality (pH and dissolved oxygen levels) has improved. Spanish Fork City closes the park and pond for the season Oct. 1, making for a short fall stocking window. Fishing is typically slow to fair in September. The surface water temperature is much warmer than the rest of the water column, which drives fish toward the bottom. Anglers should use a nightcrawler and trout dough bait fished off or near the bottom.
