Flow update Sept. 14, 2026: The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation is releasing additional water volume out of Flaming Gorge as part of the Drought Response Operations Agreement to support downstream infrastructure. All Utah boat ramps should be usable through the fall. Reservoir water elevation data can be viewed here and boat ramp conditions and closures can be viewed here. The DWR will report any ramp problems on Fish Utah as they arise and will be working with the U.S. Forest Service to clear ramps of debris as water elevations decline. The Horseshoe Bend cutoff is no longer usable. Anglers should watch for more and unexpected submerged hazards as the fall continues. The BOR has released a status statement that can be viewed here. Be aware that fish may be found in different locations this year as a result of drawdowns, similar to what was experienced in 2022. Check social media and other sources for more timely information.
