Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,000 pounds of catfish the week of October 20th. In sum, the lake was stocked with 8,500 pounds of catfish this season. While midnight fishing concluded last weekend, look for new moon fishing events every month where the lake will be open until 10pm. Trout Opener is the weekend of November 14-16! We will stock 2,500 pounds from Wright’s Rainbows in Idaho for the opener.

What’s the Catch? Fall fishing is in full swing at Lake Jennings, with both bass and catfish keeping fishermen busy! Cooler mornings and warm afternoons have made for great fishing conditions, and the bite has been steady across the lake. 

Although the final stocking of the season has wrapped up, there are still plenty of catfish lurking around! The best action has been coming from Siesta Point and Cloister Cove. Mackerel, chicken liver, or stink bait are reporting solid catches in the 3–6 lb range. A slow retrieve along the bottom has been working well as the water cools.

Bass are active and feeding up before winter. Anglers are having success working shad-colored swimbaits, jerkbaits, and drop-shot rigs along rocky points and submerged structure. Early morning and late afternoon are the prime times to target bass as they chase baitfish toward the surface.
