Flows are good for fishing. Best fishing will be for Brown Trout above Crooked Creek. Grasshoppers are out. The best locations to fly fish with grasshopper imitations is above and below Loosely Road.
Flies and lures that mimic fish, crayfish, sculpin, worms, leeches and salmonfly nymphs will work best. There seems to be a good abundance of 14-to-18-inch Brown Trout.
Access points from the bank will be at Weed Road, BLM Wetland, and USFS Day use area. Motorboats can launch at Weed Road and Petric Park. Petric park is full of aquatic vegetation which can be challening to get through this time of year. Boats launched above Weed Road need to portage around several structures and bridges. Bridges are too low for a typical drift boat to float underneath. Kayaks and very small boats can launch at Loosley Road, Highway 62 Bridge, Dixon Road Bridge, and Kimball State Park. There are few fish above Annie Creek or near Kimball Park.
