The lake has recently been planted by the NDOW with almost 6000 catchable rainbow trout. You have read my report for this area in the intro. I recommend not to fish the day after a full moon. But I will be out there this weekend if the "W" is stable enough. I won't be after the plant trout. I want those fish that were looking and laughing at us.

: Rains haven’t stopped the fish from biting; plus: free fishing day in California this Saturday
Lake Tahoe: The fishing has been good for Kokanees in the early morning
Caples Lake: The lake level has come up a little
Woods Lake: Fishing has been fair for anglers
Blue Lake Lower: The road to Upper and Lower Blue Lakes is open
Bridgeport Reservoir: The resort is open for launching, but they have taken up their docks for the season
Twin Lakes (Bridgeport): The lake level has dropped 12 to 18 inches over the last week
Indian Creek Reservoir: Fishing has been fair to slow
West Carson River (CA): The water has come up a lot over the last couple weeks
East Carson River (CA): The river is running good
Topaz Lake: The lake has risen a little due to rain runoff from the Walker river
