Nacimiento Lake held near 57 percent of its storage capacity, and bass fishing has shifted into a post spawn pattern. Anglers still reported good catch rates but many of the bass moved off beds and into deeper water. Hula grubs, swim jigs with a paddle tail trailer, and drop shot were effective in 10 to 20 feet of water. Deep diving crankbaits, chatter baits, and topwater lures took bass as well. White bass went after spoons and in-line spinnerbaits. Crappie fishing was solid with minijigs, swimbaits, and live minnows all getting strikes. Catfish ate cut baits and dip bait for shore anglers.
