Our local fishing club is back with a nice catch! This awesome group landed several stripers and one smallmouth bass while fishing from shore at the Nature Center, using anchovies as bait.

The Nature Center continues to be one of our favorite spots—it features scenic trails, an observation tower, some of our best beaches, and great fishing opportunities.

I’ve also been hearing good reports from Rotary Park, where anglers have been landing some nice stripers. Anchovies remain the bait of choice and have been producing excellent results.

Up on Lake Mohave, trolling for stripers has also been very productive. Anglers are seeing great results both day and night. Evening hours have been especially good, with lights helping to bring in the fish.

This is just an early update, but we’re excited to announce that we’ll be hosting a Fishing Clinic in late September at Rotary Park. The event will help kick off trout season. I’ll share more details as we get closer, and we’re planning to offer early registration.
