Stocking: The last stocking from Idaho was added to the lake the week of April 14th but DFW brought us an additional 500 pounds last week. Catfish Opener is set for May 23rd where 1,500 pounds from Alpine Fishery will be stocked.

What’s the Catch? The trout bite is still strong! The water temp remains optimum for trout. The buoy lines saw the most activity last weekend. Rooster tails, nightcrawlers, and Hookup Baits were all working. Dockhands saw limits coming in by boat. One of our dockhands witnessed a 10.4 pound bass pulled near Eagle Point. Other anglers reported bass biting on shiners. We know there were catfish pulled on Saturday night during night fishing…send us those pics! No reports of panfish last weekend.

Conditions: The current water temperature is 63 degrees. Water temps are starting to rise, but remain consistent throughout the water column. The aerator has been turned on, so the dissolved oxygen content is well mixed. The days are getting longer with the sun rising at 6:01 a.m. and setting at 7:30 p.m.
