Spots, Smallies and some Crappie are hitting the net consistently on Shasta. There is a lot of traffic on the Jones Valley ramp, the Squaw Creek and Pit arms are definitely fishing well. The shad and olive Float n' Fly fished at least 7 ft will get you connected. The lake is nearing full pool and a lot of fish will congregate in the back coves near structure like willows and deadfalls, look on points as well for cruising fish. A sinking line with a crayfish pattern fished back towards the bank and as deep as you can get it is effective as well. We have guides who can get you out, give Bryan a call to set up a trip!
Hot Flies:
• Wooly Buggers
• Float-n-Flies
• Dead Drop Minnow
• Zack's Stillwater Balanced Leech
