Salmon fishing in the estuary has picked back up after slowing down over the weekend. Boats trolling are getting quite a few opportunities every day. There are quite a few steelhead, half-pounders and adults, spread throughout the river, but not many salmon around yet. Fall regulations will go into effect Saturday, Aug. 15. The daily bag limit will be two Chinook, no more than one adult (longer than 23 inches) and the possession limit is six, no more than three adults.
