The Fall River continues to fish well with excellent water clarity, stable flows, and improving insect activity throughout the system.
PMDs are becoming increasingly important and are providing some of the better dry fly opportunities during the afternoon hours. Caddis activity remains consistent during the evenings, while BWOs and midges continue to offer opportunities during cooler mornings.
Nymphing remains the most consistent day-to-day approach. PMD nymphs, zebra midges, hare's ears, small perdigons, and caddis pupa patterns continue to produce throughout the river. Longer leaders, lighter tippet, and precise presentations remain important as the river's clear water can make fish particularly selective.
Streamer fishing continues to provide opportunities for those chasing larger holdover fish. Mini jig leeches, Soccer Moms, pine squirrel patterns, and small sculpin imitations continue to produce.
