The trout bite at Los Vaqueros continues be off the hook with limits being caught by trollers and bait fisherman.  The saturation of Lassen Rainbow Trout is incredible through a season to date plant of 47,ooo pounds with a few more weeks of planting to go in May.  I trolled Cox and Howden Coves flatlining Rapala jointed husky Herk 08 clown color lures yielding 7 Lassen Trout with the largest weighing 4.8 pounds, two Largemouth Bass, and a nice striper.  All fish were caught in the 20’-30-‘water column trolling at 2.1 - 2.3 mph.  The surface water temperature cooled down in the range of 60’ -62’.  Water clarity was excellent and the weather was picture perfect.
