Trout stocking continues, and we’re in the middle of an excellent fishing season. The Community Park area was the most recent stocking site this week. Anglers are having great success using nightcrawlers and PowerBait, and spinners like Panther Martin and Blue Fox are sure to help you land your limit of five fish.

My personal favorite is a variety of trout jigs—they’re both fun and very productive. Anglers are also doing a great job protecting the trout while targeting stripers ranging from 7 to 25 pounds. All of this action is happening right from shore.

I’ll be showcasing my tackle shop this week. For those who don’t know, I’ve been serving our area for over 20 years. In addition to bait and tackle, I also offer boat prop repair and carry new props for replacement when needed. We are the official weigh station, with scales provided by the Arizona Game and Fish Department. At this time, we are the only bait and tackle shop in the area.

I do my best to share what our anglers are catching and what’s working well—and to keep those items stocked on my shelves. I see many people posting their fishing adventures, which is great, but my stories are about you and your catch for everyone to enjoy. So keep me in mind and bring in that fish!
