Trinity River - Willow Creek Weir Fish Report for 11-3-2025
Heavy Rains Coming In
Trinity River - Willow Creek Weir - Willow Creek, CA (Humboldt County)
by E.B. Duggan
11-3-2025
The predictions are for heavy rains to come into the Trinity Valley by the middle of the week. If this is correct the river is going to raise substantially with possibly some flooding. This could put a damper on fishing for several days. It could also start more Steelhead to enter the river increasing fishing. The best time for fishing is a day or two after the rains let up while there is still some color to the water as the river is dropping. “Good Fishin”!

Lewiston Lake: I haven’t receive a report from Lewiston Lake this week but there is still plenty of water flowing through so fishing should be fair to good. You can contact the Pine Cove Marina and ask Louise or Matt (530)778-3878) for Lewiston Lake fishing; for the Upper Trinity River you can call Indian Creek Lodge, Andy or Hannah, (530)623-6294), Junction City Store, (530)623-2803. The Junction City store has a new owner and I have not contacted her yet.
Willow Creek area: I have no seen anybody fishing the Big Rock area for some time now so I can’t say how the fishing is. There are still fishermen fishing at the mouth of South Fork as there has been a steady stream of cars parked at Heil-Den trail. There is still a car or two parked at the Martin bluff trail so there must be some good fishing in that area. Salyer Bridge is still slow for lack of fishermen. With the coming rains I am sure fishing will pick up after the rains stop. From what I have been able t find out there are still lots of rigs parked at the new parking lot at the Junction City campground launch area.
Mid-Klamath to Happy Camp: The Klamath River at Weitchpec is flowing 2,161cfs. This is a decrease of 2,917cfs. The Iron Gate/Bogus Creek area is flowing 1,055cfs a decrease of 52cfs from the last report. I haven’t received a fishing report from the Upper Klamath for some time now. I’ll have to start working a bit harder for that area. The fires are out but the river has been closed for recreation. I have heard that because the government is shut down nobody had opened up the river again. The reports of Fall Chinook Salmon spawning numbers at Shovel and Jenning Creeks are still increasing so that is good news for the recovery of the Klamath River. For information I suggest you call Marble Mountain Guest Ranch (800) 522-6284, or Scott Caldwell, SC Guide Service (530)905-0758 to get proper fishing information to fish the Upper Klamath and river closures.
