Fishing on the Trinity is still very good and should only improve as we get into November. The storm this past week only bumped the gages slightly, so this should have a negligible impact on the fishing other than to draw any fish holding below Cedar Flat up into the upper river. Summer Run fish continue to congregate on the main tributaries from the North Fork confluence up to Junction City. There are a ton of salmon getting ready to spawn, this weather may have begin to dig redds. Flows will be lowered to the winter 300 CFS from Lewiston Dam tomorrow. Fishing remains superb on nymphs and this is a good time to swing as well. These are super grabby summer run fish, you can get them on Rubberlegs, Duracells, Olive Hotspots and Copper Johns. This fall should be a banger with as many fish we have in the system now. Give us a call if you would like to get on the books with your favorite guide!

Access To the Trinity River
The Trinity has many publicly accessible areas with good wading opportunities during the steelhead season. Stop by the shop and we'd be happy to point you in the right direction.
Steelhead Fishing Can be Frustrating
These anadromous rainbow trout are known as the 'Fish of a Thousand Casts.' For good reason! The learning curve can be quite steep learning when and where to go, and what type of water to target. Our Professional Guide Staff has decades of experience guiding the Trinity River for steelhead. A day spent with one of our guides will get you up to speed much more quickly.
