Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,500 pounds of catfish the week of May 19th. The next stocking of 1,000 pounds will be the week of June 16th. A total of 8,500 pounds of catfish will be stocked. The lake is now open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays!

What’s the Catch? The bass are in post-spawn feeding mode. Look for them along rocky points, submerged structure, and drop-offs early in the morning and late afternoon especially in Shadow Cove, Eagle and Sentry Point. Sounds like drop shot with morning dawn worms, senkos, and small swimbaits were doing the trick. The trout action is slowing down with rising temps but still catchable in deeper, cooler water (around 20-30 feet deep) near the dam buoy line and western shoreline. Anglers were finding trout by early morning trolling. For best results, try inflated nightcrawlers, PowerBait in chartreuse or garlic scent, and small Kastmasters.

Conditions: The current water temperature is 65 degrees at the surface. The aerator has been turned on, so the dissolved oxygen content is well mixed. The days are getting longer with the sun rising at 5:42 a.m. and setting at 7:50 p.m.
