2025 OPENER REPORT ~ Fishing Is Red Hot!

Opening weekend weather was cold but fishing was red hot! We had a last-minute cancelation by our clients on Saturday due to cold weather. Still went out for a solo run and battled through it. Wind wasn't an issue, and fish were eating! Sunday brought even better action as our clients were getting takes and staying bent all day. It was pretty automatic for a few hours. This was some of the best fishing we've seen on opener in a while, and those willing to soldier through the elements were rewarded!

Crowley Lake is off to a great start with several areas firing right now: Crooked Creek, McGee Bay, Christmas Bay, north and south of Aligator Point, Sandy Point, Hilton Bay. Fish are being caught from 9'-24' on a variety of midges in size 16 and 18. Water Temp: 49-52°

The season has just begun, and fishing is excellent already! May and June are filling up quickly, with July and August not too far behind. Now's the time to plan that trip and experience the fun & excitement of stillwater fly fishing in a safe, friendly, and educational environment. All levels of experience welcomed & all gear provided.
